Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification.. The South Carolina Department of Agriculture (SCDA), in accordance with South Carolina Procurement Code, Section 11-35-1560 and regulation 19-445.2105, is providing public notice of the intent to award a sole source contract to the School Nutrition Associatation of South Carolina (SNASC). SNASC will provide technical assistance and support of food purchasing by school food authorities (SFAs) through the Local Food Connector online portal system and the Certified Cafeteria Program. Will network and assist with stakeholder outreach and engagement and provide cross sector and interagency collaboration to ensure smooth purchasing between schools and farmers. The SNASC will assist with administrative duties such as reimbursement review, and grant reporting and statistics, and in-person auditing. Data collection and analysis will include market impact, sales mapping, and stakeholder interest in local food products.
