The contractor shall provide all materials, tools, machinery, labor and supervision necessary for the demolition work on property based on the requirements within this RFP. The demolition will be for the entire mall structure. The City is requesting that the demolition include everything down to the concrete slab only with a flat surface left behind. This demolition does not include anything below the concrete slab foundation, unless noted in a further addendum. The foundation will remain in place. Reference demolition provisions in Attachment D. • The entire concrete slab stays and is not to be demolished. (this is an exception to this project specifically and is considered removed from the demolition provisions in Attachment D of RFP document). • Contractor will need to build into their price landfill fees as normally required. The City does not receive a discount. The awarded contractor will work with the City to inform the County of the anticipated date of disposal(s) for this demolition. • On the property, all caution should be taken as to not damage and protect any City infrastructure, sidewalks, curb, utilities. After completion the site will be required to be left in a presentable manner (see attachment D of RFP – Disposal and Final Steps). • Any items in the building will need to be removed by the demolition contractor, these items are minimal/negligible unless the demolition contractor decides to assign a salvage value for material or equipment. (see Attachment A: Less Salvage Credit)
