Empower University administrators with tools to continuously improve search relevance and user experience. Required Specifications. Proposer’s solution must meet the following requirements: 3.1.1. Core Search Capabilities: a. Federated search across all UO domains and subdomains b. AI-powered answer generation (similar to Google AI Summaries/Perplexity) that: • Appears above traditional search results • Generates answers in real-time based solely on indexed UO content • Supports bring-your-own-LLM model (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) with UO-managed API keys • Allows system prompt customization for control and accuracy • Provides mandatory citations with links to source pages • Returns single answer format (not conversational chat) c. Results curation and manual ranking control d. Current-site content prioritization (automatically boost results from the site where search is performed) e. Query rules and redirect capabilities f. Promoted results/pinning for specific queries
