The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to remove river sediment from the NJWSA’s Intake Pumping Station’s (IPS) underwater concrete chamber. The IPS concrete chamber has a lower wet well sump area along the wall opposite the bar rack and river (Photo 5). All accumulated river sediment in the IPS concrete chamber (including the lower sump) shall be removed using hydraulic dredging methods. The concrete chamber dimensions and measured sediment levels as of August 2025 are shown in the attached IPS Drawing. Contractorfurnished equipment may include Blue River Technologies Geotextile Sludge Dewatering bags (Photo 8) or equivalent dewatering bags, suction hoses and hydraulic or engine driven pumps. Pump and vacuum equipment supplied by the Contractor shall be made available to air-supplied divers. Divers and equipment may be lowered through deck openings and overlaying hatches at the IPS to access the sediment.
