Assist the Parish in establishing and supporting a Steering Committee with key stakeholders, including potential representatives from LA Department of Transportation and Development, New Orleans Regional Traffic Safety and South Central Regional Safety Coalitions, the New Orleans Regional Planning Commission, St. Charles Parish Council and various internal departments, St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office, St. Charles Parish School Board, St. Charles Parish Housing Authority, the residential community, businesses, and major industries. The committee shall also identify local stakeholders and state transportation policy makers to optimize community outreach which will help inform the plan. It is anticipated that the Steering Committee will meet up to 6 times during the study or as deemed appropriate by the team.
