• Inspecting and assessing trees pursuant to accepted arboricultural standards. • Writing and enforcing tree planting, removal and pruning specifications. • Writing and applying for tree-related grants. • Writing of Community Forestry Management Plans. • Coordination with the Division of Public Works – Recreation, Parks and Shade Tree Unit. • Enforcement of Tree Protection Ordinance and other tree-related ordinances. • Reviewing of landscaping plans for Planning and Zoning Boards. • Prioritizing service requests. • Recommending tree related equipment purchases and preparation of bid specifications. • Selecting and tagging trees and nursery stock. • Participation in Arbor Day and Tree City, U.S.A observances. • Overseeing issuance and enforcement of tree removal permits. • Tree-related projects as needed.
