The work to be done under this Contract consists of scheduled and emergency bridge deck repairs performed on bridges, culverts, and viaducts under the control of District 4 at various locations. The Work will include but not be limited to: 1) Removal and replacement of the existing HMA wearing surface at the approaches and on the deck. 2) Partial depth and/or full depth excavation of the existing reinforced cement concrete decks where deterioration has occurred as required by the Engineer. 3) Replacement of the excavated concrete with either Item 909.3: Rapid Hardening Concrete for Repairs or Item 909.5: Rapid Hardening Cementitious Products for Concrete Repairs as specified by the Engineer. 4) Miscellaneous repairs to various bridge appurtenances. 5) Related traffic management.
