The contractor shall provide snow and ice removal services after a snow event, after a freeze or refreeze, and at the request of the Department. a. For the purpose of this document, a snow event shall be defined as an unspecified period of time of continuous or intermittent periods of falling frozen precipitation significant enough to warrant removal of the frozen precipitation to free the parking lots and pedestrian walkways of hazards caused by the frozen precipitation. 1) Snow removal services for a snow event shall include plowing, shoveling/sweeping, ice melt agent, and the application of the ice melt agent, and be billed at the incremental pricing per occurrence as stated on the Pricing Page. 2) The contractor shall NOT include the prices as stated on the Pricing Page for Ice Melting Agent Application and Hand Shoveling/Sweeping Snow or Ice Melting Agent when billing for a snow event at the incremental pricing per occurrence as stated on the Pricing Page. 3) The contractor and the designated Department representative shall mutually agree upon the amount of snow accumulation.
