• Decommission and remove one of the existing centrifuges from the Solids Processing Building and transport it approximately 400 feet to the City’s Wastewater Treatment Plant maintenance shop for salvage. The City’s gantry crane will be made available for contractor use to support removal and installation activities. Any contractor personnel operating the gantry crane must provide current safety and equipment-operation certification acceptable to the City prior to use. The contractor is responsible for all rigging, lifting plans, and safe execution of the work. • Modify the existing centrifuge pedestals per HHPR drawings, including fabrication and installation of a new HSS (Hollow Structural Steel) pedestal frame for the replacement centrifuge, and the extension of the one of the concrete pedestals by the installation of another new HSS (Hollow Structural Steel) pedestal frame on top of the concrete pedestal. • Install the new City-furnished centrifuge, currently stored at the WWTP maintenance shop, on the modified pedestals. The contractor shall perform a complete mechanical installation of the centrifuge, including mounting the unit, aligning and installing the motor, belts, drives, guards, lubrication systems, fittings, anchors, and all other required mechanical components necessary for a fully functional installation. The contractor is responsible for providing all rigging, mechanical connections, adjustments, and start-up assistance needed for proper mechanical operation of the equipment.
