he Rubber Modified Asphalt Emulsion and Stone shall be applied to the existing road surface. The roads to be surfaced with this chip seal shall be selected by the Town. These roads will have been previously leveled, patched, and swept by others. B. MATERIALS: 1. LIQUID ASPHALT EMULSION: A CRS-2L with polymer rubber modification conforming to the specifications of ASTM D2397 and AASHTО M208. 2. STONE: The Stone 3/8" crushed aggregate consisting of durable crushed trap rock stone. The aggregate shall have a percent of wear by the Los Angeles Abrasion Test of not more than 45 (ASTM test C 131). The stone shall be supplied by the Contractor and shall meet the following gradation C. APPLICATION RATES: 1. EMULSION: The CRS-2L with polymer rubber modification shall be applied at a rate of .30 to .45 gallons per square yard. 2. STONE: The Stone shall be applied at a rate of 18 to 22 lbs. per sq. yd.
