The Contractor shall be responsible for the complete execution of snow and ice management operations, including but not limited to: • Snowplows • Front-end loaders • Dump trucks • Shovels • Snow blowers • Hand and truck salt spreaders • Ice melt, salt, and de-icing agents • All required safety equipment Travel and mileage costs must be included in the bid price. No additional reimbursement will be provided for mileage or travel time. Work Scheduling & Response Expectations 1. Initiation of Work: o Snow plowing shall commence at 1” of accumulation for WSMDC locations and at 2” of accumulation for HACC locations, upon notification by authorized HACC/WSMDC staff. o All paved areas, entrances, walkways, and sidewalks must be cleared and de-iced during the storm to permit access and movement of staff and residents. 2. Completion Deadline: o All locations must be fully cleared, salted, and made safe no later than the start of the next business day following a snowfall. 3. Pre-Treatment and Ice Prevention: o Contractor shall pre-treat all surfaces (sidewalks, steps, driveways, walkways, parking lots) with ice melt and/or salt prior to snowfall or when a winter weather advisory is issued, as determined by site conditions or request from HACC/WSMDC. o Surfaces must be treated again after plowing to prevent ice formation. 4. Re-Treatment and Return Visits: o Contractor must return to sites as needed during storms to maintain clear conditions. o Contractor must respond to any deficiency notification within three (3) hours and correct work at no additional charge...
