The selected attorney will be expected to provide, at minimum, the following services: Attend in-person Planning Board meetings on the third Wednesday of each month, and, when required, in-person ZBA meetings on the first Tuesday of the month. Provide legal guidance on land use, zoning laws, environmental review (including SEQRA), and municipal regulations, with a focus on guidance related to proper procedure. Assist the Boards in conducting required environmental reviews consistent with the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), including but not limited to classifying actions, preparing Determinations of Significance, advising on Lead Agency coordination, and reviewing Environmental Assessment Forms (EAFs). Experience with process, preparation and review of Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) is beneficial, but not required.
