1. The scope of work, upon which your firm is invited to submit a proposal, includes the labor and some specialized equipment required to perform the janitorial tasks for a health center that is 91, 578 square feet (See Exhibit B &C). 2. All chemicals and consumables shall be provided by El Rio Health and procured through the El Rio Facilities Department with El Rio Health bearing the costs. (See Exhibit A) 3. There may be times of extended patient care hours that will require the janitorial team to accommodate El Rio Health staff and patients with limited disruption to the delivery of medical and dental services. 4. El Rio Health Security staff will be onsite during all evening operations. 5. As part of this project, the Offeror will provide the following: a) A full professional team for the performance of the services required by this RFP (See Exhibit B) at a level of quality characterized as “Hospital Clean”. El Rio Health Centers are accredited by The Joint Commission and environment of care is a priority. Your team shall include a reliable supervisor or lead fluent in English and Spanish. All members of the janitorial team must be fluent in English. b) Standard equipment (wet mops, dust mops, handles/frames, wipers, mop buckets, vacuums, brutes, and dumpsters) will be provided by El Rio Health. El Rio Health shall provide equipment for carpet/furniture shampooing, floor scrubbing, and burnishing. The Contractor shall provide additional equipment if needed for normal housekeeping operations and strip/wax operations. Contractor will provide all equipment dedicated to stripping floors which includes battery operated burnishers. All janitorial equipment and spaces including floor sinks, especially power cords, shall be cleaned daily after use. c) Offeror will be responsible for moving furniture during cleaning and floor care services. d) Offeror will maintain an inventory list and notify El Rio Health Facilities when supplies need to be replenished. e) The Supervisor or lead worker shall work as a team with the El Rio Health Facilities and Transportation Senior Manager in all matters of operations, scheduling maintenance requests and the procurement of janitorial consumables. f) A standard monthly billing shall be established. g) The successful Offeror will have attested to following Equal Opportunity Employment practices, performing background checks on employees, having proof of right to work status of employees, providing proof of employee training in cleaning practices and having appropriate business licenses and insurance policies. All of the above-mentioned documents will be shared with the El Rio Health Facilities Manager. h) Offeror will be required to sign the El Rio Health Business Associate Agreement upon award of the RFP. i) A weekly meeting will occur between the El Rio Health Facilities and Transportation Senior Manager and the Supervisor/Manager of the janitorial staff.
