All turf areas shall be mowed twice a month. The height of turf is to be determined by species and local conditions during the growing season. Mowing height may be adjusted upon request. Treatment for ants shall be as needed. During rainy or extended dry periods, frequency may vary. In conjunction with each mowing, edging, and blowing off sidewalks shall be performed around all buildings, structures, and other obstacles within the turf area. All debris must be removed from the turf areas prior to mowing. Excess grass clippings shall be raked or bagged as needed to maintain a neat appearance and hauled away. Weed control shall be maintained in all flowerbeds, ornamental mulch beds, rocks, cracks in concrete, and tree rings in conjunction with each visit. This may be done either manually or through the use of herbicides. Ornamental shrubs, bushes, and evergreens shall be pruned or sheared on an as-needed basis and scheduled by the Parish. The Provider must have the appropriate type(s) of operational equipment and labor to complete the work within the specified time frames. Provider must maintain all necessary safety precautions during cutting. The mower permitted to enter the fenced areas of the Jail must not exceed a width of 32 inches. The enclosed grass cutting map indicates that the "Red and Green" section includes certain external locations, such as the rear field and the vicinity of the backup 911 training facility, as well as the interior of the Jail. It is important to note that the map does not depict the region near the sewer pump and Pole barn; however, this area is part of the quote request. For security purposes, all Provider employees are required to wear apparel that clearly identifies the Provider by name. All work is to commence during normal business hours of Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
