1. AEROBIC SYSTEMS. Services for the three (3) each, Cyclic Biological Treatment (CBT) systems are as follows: a. MAINTENANCE SERVICES: The Contractor shall provide the following services on an as needed basis: 1) Clean air filter and change when necessary (Air filter cost shall be inclusive in bid price). 2) Check diffuser for proper operation. 3) Collect samples and perform analysis for Dissolved Oxygen (DO), pH, solids settle-ability, and chlorine residual in accordance to applicable State of Hawaii Department of Health regulations on a monthly basis. 4) Check effluent chlorinating system for proper operation and adjust application rates as necessary. 5) Maintain a log of plant operations and test results. Submit copy of log and test results to the Department of Parks and Recreation with your service invoice for payment. 6) Provide chlorine hypochlorite tablets for effluent disinfection. b. COLLECTION AND TESTING SERVICES: The Contractor shall provide the following services on an as needed basis: 1) Collect and transport Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), suspended solids, and conform bacteria analysis. 2) Monthly testing (included - one (1) each Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD)/TSS test combined - requires sampling port). 3) Plant pumping liquid sludge hauling and disposal (includes one (1) each pump per month) for CBT System and/or lift stations. c. LABORATORY TESTING: The Contractor shall also provide the following on an as needed basis: 1) Lab test for Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) and Total Suspended Solids (TSS). 2) Labor for lab test - BOD, TSS. 3) Add chlorine hypochlorite tablets to system.
