The State is seeking one (1) Contractor to recruit, assess, and recommend a slate of highly qualified candidates to interview for the Director of Schools position at TSD. The Contractor may be an executive search firm, a sitting school superintendent, or another qualified individual with extensive experience conducting executive searches. To be considered for the Director of Schools role, candidates must have a Master’s degree in Education or a related field and an Administrative license issued by the State of Tennessee. Eight (8) to ten (10) years of experience in educational leadership is strongly preferred. American Sign Language (“ASL”) is the mode of communication for public spaces on campus, so candidates who are fluent in ASL and have deep knowledge of deaf culture and deaf education are strongly preferred
