This solicitation is for materials only and shall include the following items in the required quantities as stated below: 2.2.1. Quantity up to 732 Vehicle Preemption Detectors with visual feedback. 2.2.2. Quantity up to 185 Optical Signal Processors. 2.3. All equipment will be installed by the Town in accordance with the Manufacturer’s guidelines. 3. General Requirements 3.1. Brand Name or equivalent specification 3.1.1. The use of a Brand name, Product name, or Catalog Item is for the purpose of describing the standard of quality, performance, and characteristics desired and is not intended to limit or restrict competition. Products substantially equivalent to the brands designated qualify for consideration. 3.2. Equipment 3.2.1. Optical Vehicle Preemption Detectors: 3.2.1.1. An optical vehicle preemption detector will be provided for each direction of travel for up to 185 intersections. 3.2.1.2.
