The County of Cumberland hereby requests proposals from Registered Municipal Accountants (RMA) or firms employing Registered Municipal Accountants (RMA), who are licensed and certified by the State of New Jersey to provide those services. Respondent firm must employ a minimum of two (2) Registered Municipal Accountants, licensed/certified in the State of New Jersey and in good standing with the State of New Jersey, in order to be considered for this position. Respondent RMA’s must each have a minimum of five (5) years current experience providing auditing services to New Jersey Counties (or Municipalities and/or Authorities of comparable size and complexity) in order to be considered for this position. Respondent shall have knowledge and expertise in the area of governmental accounting and auditing, New Jersey’s County/Municipal Accounting Standards, municipal bonding, rate studies, litigation support, human resources, employment taxes, property taxes, etc. Respondent shall have knowledge and expertise with Federal and State single audits as it relates to this proposal. The RMA shall serve as County Auditor for the County of Cumberland. In that capacity, the RMA shall: Attend meetings with County Officials, including the Board of County Commissioners.
