The Township of Berkeley Heights is requesting proposals from qualified individuals and firms to provide telecommunications consulting services in excess of salaried employee and duties that aim to maximize telecommunications revenues to the Township. Such services include, but are not limited to: • wireless telecommunications bid and marketing service • assistance with telecommunications provider contracts that maximize Berkeley Heights’ revenue • marketing site opportunities with wireless carriers • assisting the Township with bids for site contracts with new and existing tenants • resolving bid specification exceptions and other issues regarding any bid submissions • finalizing lease agreements with providers • reviewing telecommunications providers applications for 5G equipment and services and advising Township accordingly • further assisting the Township in monetizing existing telecommunications infrastructure • managing the lead siting, bidding and construction phases of wireless projects • assist with assessing equipment upgrade requests • review provider offers of Township buyouts and advise Township accordingly • manage bids for lease extensions • provide the Township with yearly report on current revenue streams held by the Township, and further options for monetization • and such other related services as the Township Council may consider necessary.
