This project will entail a multi-phased addition, various associated renovations, and selective demolition to the existing Knightsville Elementary School, located at 847 Orangeburg Road, Summerville, SC 29483. Specifically, the District’s feasibility study contemplates: • 8,000 SF Cafeteria/Kitchen/Multipurpose Room addition. • 55,000 SF Classroom addition. • 23,000 SF existing classroom demolition. • Renovation of 5,700 SF Media Center space, including demolition of 2,600 SF existing. • Reconfiguration of the existing bus loop. The school will remain in operation for the duration of this project. The school will utilize the extensive portable classroom portion of the campus as the swing space necessary for this project to proceed.
