The WORK is to construct new facilities at the existing wastewater treatment plant to expand the plant’s capacity from 1.50 MGD to 1.94 MGD. The WORK includes upgrading some existing facilities, expanding some existing facilities, and constructing some new facilities. Specifically, current planning primarily includes the following components. • Upgrade the existing carrousel basin to have a 1.94 MGD capacity. The basin has sufficient volume for the capacity increase, but the mechanical aerators will need to be changed from 100 horsepower to 150 horsepower. • Construct one new 72’ diameter final clarifier along with a flow splitter structure to proportionally direct flow between to the new final clarifier and the two existing final clarifiers. • Construct a new RAS/WAS pump station.
