Provide veterinary services and staffing at the Gwinnett County Bill Atkinson Animal Welfare Center, located at 884 Winder Highway, Lawrenceville, GA 30046, to include, but not be limited to the following: 1. Examinations and diagnostics including, but not limited to fecal exams, blood work, blood count, endocrinology, heartworm testing, FIV/FELV testing, parvo testing, urinalysis, dermatology, general health examinations, ophthalmic examinations, orthoscopic examinations, x-rays, and ultrasound, and other diagnostic procedures as necessary. 2. Surgical sterilization, to include spaying and neutering. 3. Anesthesia induction and monitoring, including post-operative pain management. 4. Amputations and other surgeries as needed. 5. Exploratory surgery to determine sterilization status. 6. Perform triage examination and treatment of sick and injured animals. 7. Perform tests and/or treat animals involved in cruelty/neglect cases within 12 hours of impound timeframe. Evaluation and treatment of animals from cruelty/neglect cases within 12 hours of impound (excluding Sundays). 8. Forensic and necropsy examinations, including documentation and expert courtroom testimony. 9. Any and all treatment, prescriptions, administration of medications, monitoring and follow up. 10. The vendor is responsible for ensuring that all animals receive and ingest their prescribed medication as directed.
