The Primary General Legal Provider shall, as assigned: (1) Serve as general legal counsel for HAGC in court proceedings and litigation; (2) Prepare/review legal documents such as contracts, agreements, memorandums of understanding, leases, petitions, depositions, answers, and motions; (3) Advise management on matters pertaining to legal rights, obligations and other phases of law as it pertains to HAGC; (4) Represent HAGC for land use matters; (5) Provide legal guidance and assist with matters as assigned for the development of affordable housing; (6) Conduct tenant grievance hearings and employee grievance conferences; (7) Represent HAGC at fact finding conferences concerning EEO and fair housing complaints. Litigation in both state and federal courts, representing HAGC as Plaintiff or Defendant in various general liability litigation matters, including but not limited to, civil rights and fair housing compliance, personal injury and tort defense, breach of contract claims, and administrative writs; (8) Compile evidence in cases to formulate defenses or to initiate legal actions; (9) Review procurement contracts, bid proposals and professional service agreements for compliance with standard operating procedures and local, state and federal law; (10) Research, analyze, develop and/or provide options toward the development of HAGC policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations; (11) Interface with HUD legal counsel in order to comply with changing regulations on law, housing assistance programs and for approval of contracts; (12) Review legal documents for compliance with applicable laws and regulations and to provide legal advice; (13) Serve as legal counsel to and advise the Board of Commissioners; (14) Meet with HAGC management monthly in preparation for Board meetings; (15) Prepare and/or review Board resolutions and other documents for consideration by the Board; (16) Represent HAGC for labor negotiations or any other employment matters that may arise...
