The North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority, Inc. (NJTPA), the Metropolitan Planning Organization for the 13 counties in northern New Jersey, is announcing a Request for Proposals for consultant assistance to conduct a study focused on advancing the recommendations of the NJTPA Active Transportation Plan (ATP), which identifies opportunities to effectively plan for and build out an active transportation network. The study will advance multiple active transportation corridors identified by the ATP by evaluating potential alignments; recommending associated improvements and steps for implementation; and developing guidance to assist those parties responsible for building-out a continuous on- and off-road trail network.
