The Affordable Housing Attorney shall be an Attorney-at-Law licensed in the State of New Jersey with demonstrated experience in municipal affordable housing law. The Attorney will provide legal counsel, research, and assistance to the Borough on matters related to the Housing Element and Fair Share Plan, including any amendments. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Advising the Borough on compliance with New Jersey affordable housing statutes and regulations. • Assisting the Borough in litigation, mediation, or administrative proceedings involving the courts and the Council on Affordable Housing (COAH). • Providing ongoing legal guidance and support to the Mayor and Borough Council and Borough Administrator as requested. • Being available for timely consultation on all affordable housing matters. The Affordable Housing Attorney shall perform additional legal services as directed by the Mayor and Borough Council or the Borough Administrator.
