Arlington County Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP) is an advanced wastewater treatment facility located in the southern section of Arlington County. The WPCP provides preliminary (screening and grit removal), secondary (activated sludge), and tertiary treatment of wastewater. Treated wastewater is discharged into Four Mile Run, a tributary of the Potomac River. Sludge handling and disposal of biological and chemical sludge includes thickening and storage, centrifugal dewatering, and land application. Arlington County is required to provide quantitative data for verification of compliance with State and Federal regulations. Varieties of analysis are required to be performed on wastewater, process water, stormwater, and solids. The requested number of sample analysis for the past three (3) years were as follows: 2023 – 5 jobs; 2022 – 13 jobs; 2021 – 7 jobs. The amount is only an estimate and each bidder understands and agrees that Arlington County is under no obligation to the successful bidder to buy any amount as a result of having provided this estimate or of having had any normal or otherwise measurable requirement in the past.
