The following outline provides a scope of work for the City’s expectations regarding “emergency and as needed” sewer pump repair work for utilities: • Provide routine pump service at the pump stations listed above when requested by the owner. • Provide emergency service on a call out basis for these same locations. Response time must be within two (2) hours from notification. • Provide troubleshooting and repairs to pumps and motors of varying voltage and phase. • Perform work on sewer pumps varying in size from 1/2 H.P. to 300 H.P. Provide removal and installation of pumps and electric motors at pump station locations. Safety The Contractors’ employees shall comply with all Federal, State, and local laws and regulations governing the work performed. The Contractors’ employees shall comply with OSHA, PEOSHA, and the NJ Department of Labor requirements. Inspection of Contractors Facility and Fleet Before the bid award, the City of Perth Amboy or USA-PA reserves the right to inspect shop facility, work force, and vehicle fleet to ensure that the contractor may sufficiently perform the work. Twenty-Four Hour Service The contractor shall provide twenty-four (24) hour a day service and possess a paging/telephone system whereby qualified technicians can be contacted to provide services as needed.
