Contractor will be required to provide all labor, material, equipment, and supplies for the installation and/or removal of traffic calming materials, measures, and pavement marking materials as directed by the requesting department on an as needed basis. Metro staff may prepare a project scope with materials estimate to be provided to remove and/or install, print out of a generated work order, and a set of traffic calming plans for the contractor to develop total project quotes on an as needed basis. The project schedule and turnaround time for each request for work will be included in the project request by the requesting department. Contractor is responsible for obtaining all necessary traffic control measures and all necessary permits. Some scope of services may be for installation only type services where the Contractor will be required to pickup necessary materials (i.e. speed cushions, drill bits, delineators) to perform the project scope as directed by Metro. Contractor is responsible for transportation of any department provided materials to the project location. Each scope of services provided by the ordering department will outline the items to be pickup as well as the estimated quantities to be picked up at Metro designated location. Potential locations that materials could be picked up currently are as follows but subject to change at the direction of the ordering department: * 2068 Smith Spring Rd Nashville, TN 37217 * 750 South 5th Street Nashville, TN 37206 Prior to picking up materials, the contractor shall contact Metro to arrange a pick up time and specify the location for all materials being provide by Metro to complete the work. The contractor may pick up more materials than what is needed to complete the job within reason, but Metro would need to be approve in writing the pick up of any additional material quantities. If additional items are picked up and not used for the scoped project, Metro will provide instruction for the return of the items to the location or instruct in writing to use on another assigned project. The contractor shall not use them for any project other than the Neighborhood Street Traffic Calming Program. As requested by the ordering department and prior to installation process, contractor must notify the NDOT sign shop to give one week for the sign shop to install appropriate signage before traffic calming items are installed. The contractor is responsible for transport of NDOT provided materials to the specified installation location identified for each project. Traffic Calming devices shall be installed in accordance with all applicable guidelines as stated in the scope details for each individual project. Details on the schematics will be provided by Metro staff for each individual project.
