1. Project Overview: The City of Boston Fire Department seeks to procure and have terminated 50 model # TRI-TS-24V Two Position LED Traffic Signals and 50 Limit switches for use in various Fire Department locations. These traffic signals will be used inside firehouses to indicate when apparatus operators can safely proceed after overhead doors have fully retracted. 2. Equipment Specifications: a. Traffic Signals: i. Quantity: 50 ii. Model: TRI-TS-24V Two Position LED Traffic Signal (or approved equal) 1. Contractors should consult “Traffic Signal Specifications” attachment for product details. iii. Type: LED iv. Positions: Two (Red and Green) v. Voltage: 24V b. Limit Switches: i. Quantity: 50 ii. Standard limit switches compatible with the specified traffic signals 3. Scope of Services: a. Supply: i. The contractor shall supply all specified equipment (traffic signals and limit switches) to the designated Fire Department locations. ii. All equipment must be new, unused, and in original packaging. iii. The contractor shall provide any necessary mounting hardware or accessories required for proper termination (installation will be performed by the Fire Department). b. Termination: i. The contractor shall perform termination of all supplied traffic signals and limit switches at the various Fire Department locations. ii. Termination shall be completed in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry best practices. iii. The contractor shall coordinate with the Fire Department to schedule termination work at each location. c. Testing: i. After termination, the contractor shall perform basic functionality tests to ensure proper operation of the traffic signals and limit switches. ii. Any defective or malfunctioning units shall be replaced at no additional cost to the City.
