• Bridge Street – Reconstruction of approximately 7,000 linear feet from Snowberry Lane east until it terminates at East Street. Currently, the road pavement is approximately 24-25 FT wide. The project will investigate the possibility of horizontally realigning the roadway and adding a 10 FT wide multi-use trail on the southerly side of this section of Bridge Street. The Town of Suffield will provide a boundary/topographic/planimetric survey and CAD file of the project area for design purposes. Survey progress to date includes a boundary survey, pavement limits and utility pole locations with a preliminary layout. Wetlands are currently being investigated and will be added to the plan before continuing with the survey and design of the project. The Town also has the option to add a separate bike lane and 4’ concrete walk if the design determines this to be more feasible. Design will include drainage improvements and relocation as needed. Public outreach will need to be conducted on this project as well once a preferred design option is determined. • Kent Avenue Sidewalk Project - This project will consist of removing and replacing approximately 1,700 linear feet of existing 4 FT wide sidewalk with 5 FT wide concrete sidewalk and extending the 5 FT wide sidewalk another 1,000 linear feet on the north side of Kent Avenue to the existing sidewalk at the Wisteria Lane intersection. New curbing installed as well as storm structures and pipe replaced as needed. The Town of Suffield will provide a boundary/topographic/planimetric survey and CAD file of the project area for design purposes. Public outreach will need to be conducted on this project.
