The OIG seeks a vendor with expertise in the area of civil summons service on an as-needed basis at the discretion of the OIG. All individuals authorized to provide services in accordance with this RFR will be required to meet the following minimum requirements: • The ability to provide complete service anywhere within the state of Massachusetts. • Complete service of summons, motions, or other documents within 48 hours of receipt of documents, in an agreed-upon manner and in compliance with Massachusetts Rules of Civil Procedure Rule 4. • Allow the OIG to provide documents to be served to a dedicated point of contact through electronic means. • Attempt service a minimum of three times. • Document all service attempts including date, time, address, and outcome. • Provide the OIG with confirmation of a complete and accurate record of proof of service. • Provide rush/same-day service when needed. • Maintain confidentiality regarding documents served in accordance with M.G.L. c. 12A, §§ 9 and 15, 945 CMR 1.06(2)(l), and other applicable law. • Appear and comport themselves in a professional manner.
