Objectives: 1. To develop a statistically robust survey design for the Severn River (36 ac) with sufficient data to assess the condition of benthic habitat identified as potential restorable oyster habitat, quantify oyster density, document depth, and other metrics relevant to oyster restoration planning. 2. Following review and approval by CBF staff, implement the survey design, collecting, summarizing, and analyzing georeferenced bottom type information, oyster density, bathymetry, environmental variables, and other relevant data for the development of the oyster restoration blueprints. 3. To deliver a comprehensive report on current conditions of oyster populations and oyster habitat in the Severn River which includes recommended restoration treatment types for each surveyed area based on criteria developed for restoration blueprints in Maryland’s targeted tributaries. In addition: 1. The Contractor will administer all sub-awards necessary for the completion of this project. 2. The Contractor will participate in monthly conference calls with CBF staff at mutually agreed times and dates. 3. Any issues impacting the timeline of project completion will be reported to CBF staff as soon as the Contractor becomes aware of the issue, which may be communicated via email between monthly phone calls. 4. CBF staff will be given the opportunity to review the draft report and provide edits. The contractor will revise and finalize the report incorporating feedback and edits from CBF staff.
