Prepare at least seven (7) properties, based on the findings of the previously completed intensive level survey, and subject to owner permission and the decision of History Colorado staff, associated with significant African American Travel Sites history in Colorado for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places. The nominations will be submitted to the Colorado State Historic Preservation Review Board and then forwarded to the Keeper of the National Register. In Colorado, all National Register-listed sites are automatically added to the State Register of Historic Properties. Nominations must meet all recommendations as stated in National Register Bulletin 16A: How to Complete the National Register Form. o Contractor must obtain and submit to History Colorado written documentation of owner permission for any property slated for nomination. o Contractor must be available to attend the Colorado State Historic Preservation Review Board meeting(s) where the nomination(s) will be considered. o Property(ies) to be nominated will be mutually agreed upon between History Colorado and the Contractor. o Deliverables will include (for each nomination if there are multiple): One (1) draft National Register nomination for History Colorado staff and National Park Service grants staff review in accordance with History Colorado deadlines for draft National Register nomination submissions. One (1) revised draft National Register nomination that incorporates History Colorado staff comments for submission to the Colorado State Historic Preservation Review Board meeting. One (1) final National Register nomination, revised per Review Board, Certified Local Government, and History Colorado staff comments, for submission to the Keeper of the National Register.
