a. The contractor shall provide live hybrid sunfish as specified below from April 1st through September 30th. Attachments 1 and 2 located on the solicitation Overview page (2026 preliminary stocking schedules) are provided for information purposes only. Stocking time and meeting place will be set by agreement between contractor and program coordinators. b. The contractor shall provide live hybrid sunfish (Lepomis macrochirus (bluegill sunfish) x Lepomis cyanellus (green sunfish)) with a size range length of five (5) to seven (7) inches, and an average length of six (6) inches. Fish loads in which more than 20% of the fish are less than six (6) inches long shall be unacceptable, even if the load consists of the proper numbers of fish. The Department shall be responsible for making this determination and its decision shall be considered final regarding any delivery made under the contract. c. The contractor shall treat the fish and truck tanks with an approved prophylactic chemical treatment to reduce potential of zebra mussel and exotic invertebrate transportation. See Attachment 3 for treatments requirements. d. Fish must not be contaminated with substances hazardous to human health. If the Department determines that the proposed source of fish contains unacceptable levels of contaminants, the contractor must find another source. Failure to provide fish from another source shall be grounds for finding contract breach and potential cancellation of the contract. Delivery of contaminated fish may result in cancellation of the contract. Any fish contaminated with lead, mercury or other contaminants shall be rejected. The contractor shall replace all rejected loads with fish that are contaminant-free at no additional cost to the state. e. The contractor's fish source must be those stated on the Pricing Page. Preference will be given to Missouri fish sources pursuant to 34.070 RSMo. The contractor must not change their source of fish without prior written approval from the Department. Before a change in fish source can be made, the contractor must submit a written request to the Department and provide information regarding the proposed new fish source. A formal contract amendment shall be processed by the Department to capture any change in the source of the fish. Delivery/Stocking Specifications: a. Fish shall be delivered FOB destination with no additional charges to the Department. Subcontractors may not be used unless prior approval has been obtained from the Department program coordinator. b. Live hybrid sunfish shall be provided by the contractor and delivered/stocked according to the Department program's needs and approved stocking schedule. c. The program coordinator and contractor will mutually agree upon a stocking date, time and location at least two weeks prior to the dates shown on the stocking schedule. The Department will provide the contractor actual quantities seven (7) days prior to delivery. The contractor must strictly adhere to the stocking/delivery schedule.
