Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification.. The Agency hereby provides notice that it entered into an emergency contract per S.C. Code Ann. §11-35-1570 with Vendor for the following supplies, services, information technology, or construction: The recipient is an 18-year-old who has decided to remain in care to focus on earning his GED and further enhance his independent living skills. Hill Crest’s Higdon Hill is a congregate care program which is designed to support independent living skills specifically which will allow the youth to build and nurture a strong support system. It is believed that he would be productive in a smaller group setting and step-down program like Higdon Hill. There are no in-state facilities willing to accept admission of the youth due to his extensive psychiatric background. The youth is currently being stepped down from a PRTF level of care to a GC-III level of care. The vendor is able to provide specialized treatment at the GC-III level of care for the youth to obtain essential independent living skills to transition into after care
