The University of North Texas System (“UNT”, “UNTS”, or “The University”) is seeking a Developer that has that technical capability and interest in developing and providing various funding structure options for a new residence hall in the center of UNT’s main campus in Denton, TX. This innovative residence hall will blend 1,000 community-oriented beds, likely in a pod configuration or similar, and residence life amenities with a state-of-the-art Innovation Center. The Innovation Center will promote multi-disciplinary academic discovery for UNT’s campus through a mix of incubator space, meeting spaces, and technologically driven creative spaces focused on entrepreneurial development, music and multimedia. UNT will own and fund the Innovation Center through university sources, while the residential component will leverage creative partnership and financing structures to maximize value, affordability, and student experience. The preferred partner will demonstrate the ability to effectively integrate and deliver these project components through deep experience in housing, innovation, and mixed-use P3 development structuring.
