The South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) is conducting an invitation for bid (IFB) to contract with a Contractor for a complete, full-service elevator maintenance and repair program for two (2) passenger elevators and one (1) freight elevator for the building located at 849 Learning Lane, West Columbia, SC 29172. The preventative maintenance and repair contract includes all required state and federal required testing and certifications required during the contract period. The program shall meet the Performance Levels listed in Section 2 and shall include, but not be limited to, examinations, cleaning, painting, lubrication, adjusting, replacements, replacement parts, repairs and testing on all parts of the elevators. This shall include, but not be limited to, machines, worms, gears, thrust bearings, drive sheaves, sheave bearings, brake pulleys, brakes, brake coils, linings, motors, motor generators, brushes, ropes, commutators, rotating elements, magnetic frame, and other mechanical parts, controllers and controller parts, selectors and dispatching equipment, relays, contactors, solid state devices, operating switch and relay components, transducers, condensers, power amplifiers, transformers, resistors, contacts, leads, dashpots, timing devices, computer and microcomputer devices, steel selector tapes, mechanical and electrical driving equipment, signal lamps, position indicating equipment door tracks and door seals, track and all related control equipment. It also includes safety governors, governor components, governors sheaves and shaft assemblies, car safety mechanisms, deflector and secondary sheaves, bearings, contacts, governor jaws, governor tension sheave assemblies, compensating sheave assemblies, car and counterweight buffers, car and counterweight guide rails, limit switches guide shoes (slide and roller), door operators, car and hatch door hangers, car door contacts, door protective devices, load weighing equipment, hoistway door interlocks, auxiliary door closing devices, bottom door guides, safety edges, photo eyes, emergency light systems, including batteries, car fans, car frames, platforms, all pit sump pumps and all other related devices.
