Contractor(s) must provide monthly face-to-face and virtual coaching, evidence-based professional development, resources, and technical assistance to adults working with students that have an autism IEP eligibility in schools serving students who are IEP eligible under IDEA- Part B (Kindergarten through 12th grades) throughout the state of NM. Contractor will work collaboratively with the Office of Special Education (OSE) to evaluate training topics, delivery methods, on-going support and coaching for the New Mexico Autism Project (NMAP). The coaching and training should be designed to support individuals working with students with autism by increasing their knowledge and use of evidence-based practices in a variety of school settings, increase classroom management skills, including understanding how the classroom environment can affect behavior, and understanding of additional documents/ legal requirements that can/are used in the educational context for students with an autism eligibility. Contractor will develop and provide both online and in person training, resources, and professional development opportunities for LEAs participating in the NMAP.
