3.2.1 Unit Weight, size and support equipment requirements 3.2.1.2 Tow Fish submersible itself must weigh less than 50 lbs. in air. Note: Additional support equipment (computers, power generation, tethers etc.) are separate from the submersible itself is counted separately in this weight requirement. 3.2.1.3 Tow Fish unit and all required support equipment must be able to be easily transported in the bed of a standard pickup truck. 3.2.1.4 Tow Fish system equipment must be provided in watertight rugged hard cases (tether is excluded) 3.2.2 Depth and Tether Restrictions 3.2.2.1 Tow fish must be able to operate to at least a depth of up to 200 meters (approx. 656 feet) 3.2.2.2 Tow Fish must have the capability of a selectable length of a tether (control cable) by using one or more tethers at the sole discretion of the operator to meet mission needs. 3.2.2.3 Tow Fish system will come with 200 meters of tether.
