The Newark Board of Education seeks an accomplished, high-quality videography and post-production partner to produce a three-episode reality series centered on student innovation at the Newark School of Data Science & Information Technology. The awarded Contractor will meet with administrators, students, parents, and staff to develop the episodes. The series will follow student teams as they research, design, prototype, and present assistive technology solutions in partnership with students at the New Jersey Regional Day School. Each episode will run approximately 20 minutes and will be supported by b-roll footage, teasers, and shortform cuts suitable for the District’s digital channels. Episodes shall feature dynamic student challenges that highlight both the creativity and empathy at the heart of technology development, providing students with a platform to exhibit their skills and support learners with exceptionalities. Episodes will emphasize the human element of innovation, showing how students build relationships, problem-solve collaboratively, and develop technology that meets authentic needs. The awarded Contractor will collaborate closely with the District to curate innovative and engaging video themes for each episode, based on three distinct challenge categories: Mobility, Communication, and Play. Each episode will showcase a full design cycle, discovery, ideation, prototyping, testing, and presentation resulting in tangible, student-created assistive technologies that demonstrate inclusion, compassion, and problem-solving in action.
