This contract consists of constructing a new telecom site on District property adjacent to an existing electrical substation. The purpose of this telecommunication project is to improve the District’s radio communications quality and coverage for crews and operations in the Monroe area. This project is part of the District’s Radio Replacement Project 900 MHz P25 network and is expected to be operational for P25 radio system operational testing in the near future. This contract (items) are to build Telecommunications site including, but not limited to; site preparation for construction, constructing a 120-foot Valmont monopole with grounding system, and installing LMR (land mobile radio) antenna system with associated equipment and structures on new monopole; Telecom site grounding system, coax cable bridge, electrical services installation and construction, telecom equipment outdoor cabinets installation including concrete pad; and site fencing.
