Pender County is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified Design-Build teams interested in providing professional design and construction services for the construction of a fleet garage that will meet the needs of Pender County and its residents for the future. The selected firm will be responsible for architectural and engineering services, schematic design, design development, all applicable permits and approvals, construction, and construction administration. The proposed location is in Rocky Point, North Carolina. This will serve as a shared facility between Pender County and Pender County Schools. This garage would accommodate approximately 150 regular fleet vehicles and 250 emergency vehicles, including law enforcement, EMS, marine operations, and fire apparatus, as well as school buses and maintenance vehicles. In addition to the appropriate mechanical/electrical room(s), janitorial rooms, and restrooms, the Fleet Garage should include the following: x 25-foot ceiling minimum to accommodate ladder apparatus extension for maintenance x Approximately 15 drive-through bays large enough to accommodate large emergency apparatus x Wash bay x Parts rooms x Enough outside space for tire storage for appropriate disposal x Driveway and parking space to accommodate large apparatus x Space for a staff shower for decontamination x Exhaust system in bay x Vehicle lifts to accommodate regular fleet/ ambulances x Offices for administrative and supervisory staff
