The selected contractor shall include, at minimum, the following elements in their proposed scope: 1. Design & Engineering • Site assessment, survey, and verification of utilities. • Conceptual design options for Owner review and approval. • Final stamped construction drawings, including: o Layout of splash pad features o Mechanical and water circulation systems o Drainage, grading, erosion control, and utility connections o Electrical and control systems o Shade structures, seating, fencing (if applicable) o Concrete and surfacing specifications • Compliance with ADA, ASTM, CPSC, NSF/ANSI 50, and all applicable state/local codes. • Include geotechnical investigation, stormwater compliance, and hydraulic calculations. • Permitting of civil plans • Permitting of any structures; 2. Water Play Features & Equipment • Provide high-quality, commercial-grade splash features suitable for public use. • Splash pad area should be a minimum of 2,500 sq. ft. • Include both ground sprays and above-ground interactive elements. • All equipment shall be corrosion-resistant and vandal-resistant. • Provide detailed equipment lists and warranties (minimum 1-year labor, 5-year parts preferred). • Specify manufacturer approval (i.e. Vortex, Water Odyssey, etc.) or require preapproved equals. 3. Mechanical & Water Treatment System • Design a recirculating system with filtration and chemical treatment. • Provide pump house or underground vault, control panels, surge tanks, and all required components. Include automated systems for flow control, sequencing, and water conservation.
