MATERIAL Liquid fluorosilicic acid, H2SiF6, shall be suitable for treatment of potable water. The material supplied must meet the AWWA Standard B703-19 for fluorosilicic acid. The material shall be certified as suitable for contact with or treatment of drinking water by an accredited certification organization in accordance with ANSI/NSF Standard 60, Drinking Water Treatment Chemicals - Health Effects. GRADE The fluorosilicic acid shall be between 20 and 26 percent fluorosilicic acid by weight. PURCHASE POINT Materials called for in these specifications shall be furnished D.D.P. Incoterms© 2020, Water Purification Plant, 3100 Stevenson Drive, Springfield, Illinois with freight included. DELIVERY AND UNLOADING The fluorosilicic acid is to be unloaded by pumping from the transport vehicle to the City of Springfield's two - 3,000 gallon tanks. All delivery trucks shall be provided with a delivery discharge hose with a nozzle which will fit the 2" male quick-coupling receiving port. The Vendor shall notify the Water Purification Plant at (217) 757-8630, 24 hours prior to delivery with the serial number of the truck and the name of the driver QUANTITY The City of Springfield will purchase fluorosilicic acid in bulk shipments of approximately 4,300 gallons or approximately 22 tons. The City of Springfield will purchase approximately 100 tons during the contract year. Deliveries are to be made by truck.
