The State of Minnesota is requesting proposal(s) for: Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Controls, Electrical Engineering, Plumbing for Condensate, Civil Engineering and Hazardous Material Removal of Fuel Oil at Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs-Veterans Home, Luverne, MN. 1.0 Project Overview: 1.1 Project Scope: a. Remove and Replace Qty. (3) Boilers b. Two existing Boilers are 1.8 million Btu Natural Gas (primary) with Fuel Oil and Electric Back Up c. One existing Boiler is 4 million Btu Natural Gas (primary) with Fuel Oil Back Up d. Removal of Boilers will be phased to keep facilities HVAC system up and running during project duration. Remove a boiler, replace with new, remove boiler & replace with new e. Install Qty. (3) new 2.5 million Btu High Efficiency boilers on existing housekeeping pad f. New boilers must be integrated into existing BAS controls system g. New boilers will be set up on a run schedule to ensure run time year round via BAS h. New condensate lines to existing drains i. Electrical disconnect and reconnect to existing power source j. Removal of existing underground 10,000 gallon single wall fuel oil tank along with all associated pipes and wires. Tank now has approximately 7,200 gallons of fuel oil. Facility plans to burn most off k. Fuel oil removal as Haz Material l. New exterior concrete pad with black chain link fence with lockable gate to house Qty. (4) new LP tanks m. Underground trenching as required n. Excavation of existing grade to slope away from building where underground tank will be removed. o. Possible installation of new curb and sidewalk
