A. At Southern Regional Jail and Correctional Facility, in their central laundry room, there are three commercial tumble dryers installed side by side. There is one (1) existing commercial tumble dryer that must be replaced with new. Additional information on the project is listed below: B. Existing commercial tumble dryer information: 1. Manufactured by UniMac Alliance Laundry Systems, LLC 2. Model no. UT120NRMF6G1W01 3. Serial no. 0611024072 4. Dry with capacity, 120 pounds. 5. Each machine operates off on a 208 volt, 3-phase, 30-amp breaker, at 60 hertz. 6. The heat is produced from natural gas. 7. The main natural gas pipe that feeds natural gas to the central laundry room is an estimated four (3”) inches and continues from the ceiling to the floor. From the previously stated natural-gas pipe, on both sides, the natural-gas pipe is reduced down to approximately two (2”) inches. From the previously stated natural-gas pipe going to the commercial tumble dryer, the natural-gas pipe is reduced to approximately three-quarter (3/4”) inch. At the commercial tumble dryer, the three-quarter (3/4”) inch natural-gas pipe is connected to the machine. Any modifications that must be done to install the new commercial tumble dryer, will be the contractor’s responsibility and will be required to do. 8. There is existing duct work attached to the machine that goes to the outside of the building. The ductwork is ten (10”) inches. 9. The electric for each machine is feed from an electric panel to a 30-amp, non-fused disconnect. The contractor must use the existing disconnect switches. 10. Each machine has electrical wiring and conduit. The contractor should use the existing electrical wiring and conduit. 11. The contractor must disconnect the equipment connections. This includes but not limited to electric, natural gas, duct work, etc. 12. Any modifications not stated above that must be done for the installation of the new equipment, the contractor is responsible for accounting for in their bid. The contractor will be responsible for making any additional modifications. There will not be a change order issued for additional modifications. 13. The contractor will be responsible for supplying any equipment, labor and operator needed to unload, stage, store. remove and install equipment and materials. 14. The contractor must dispose of the existing commercial tumble dryer, and accessories that are removed. All equipment and materials removed are the property of the contractor. 15. The contractor must reconnect all equipment connections after the new equipment has been installed. This includes but not limited to electric, natural gas, etc.
