Core Functional Requirements: • Clinical and Administrative Workflows: Manage student health records, medical histories, diagnoses, treatment plans, prescriptions, counseling records, athletic evaluations, scheduling, insurance claims, and reporting across all departments. • Laboratory Management: Support the University’s moderately complex CLIA-certified, Joint Commission–accredited in-house laboratory operations, including order entry, results reporting, quality control, and regulatory compliance. Integrate with external reference labs (e.g., LabCorp) and support connectivity with RelayMed or comparable middleware solutions. • Billing and Revenue Cycle Management: Provide end-to-end revenue cycle functionality, including charge capture, claims scrubbing, electronic submission, denial management, payment posting, patient statements, and financial reporting. • Telehealth and Counseling: Provide integrated telemedicine and counseling platforms, including secure video visits, documentation tools, behavioral health workflows, and support for medical and athletic telehealth sessions (e.g., injury assessments, follow-ups). • Patient Engagement: Offer a secure, mobile-responsive portal with access to records (medical, counseling, athletic), appointment scheduling, mobile self-check-in, secure messaging, forms completion, lab results, immunization records, and educational materials. The portal must allow twoway communication and integrate seamlessly with both PM and EHR functions. • Immunization Compliance: Automate immunization tracking and compliance, including real-time access to state registries (e.g., KidsNet), secure submission, vaccination status verification, reminders, and functionality equivalent to VeriVax or similar tools. • Training and Change Management: Provide initial and ongoing training programs, including superuser training, staff onboarding, refresher sessions, and access to documentation/user guides. • Reporting and Analytics: Provide robust reporting capabilities, including customizable dashboards, ad hoc and customizable reporting tools, population health metrics, and revenue cycle analytics, without additional licensing costs.
