1. The Contractor will provide Pest Control Services to Rock Island County Metropolitan Mass Transit District (MetroLINK) Properties to effectively control general pests, which include but is not limited to roaches, ants and spiders. Exterior service would include cleaning cobwebs from light fixtures/exterior structures and spraying for general pests. Baiting for mice, termites, fleas and active bedbugs would be an additional cost rendered by Pest Control Contractor. 2. Contractor will furnish skilled service, labor, materials, pest control substances tools, equipment, insurance, permits and fees (if any) to accomplish total pest control at transit facilities. Services are to be provided by a Certified Pest Control Technician. Chemical pesticides and other pest controls must be used in a safe manner and applied intelligently and comprehensively for efficient and effective pest control. 3. Contractor assumes all professional liability regarding safe application of pesticides. 4. Contractor will procure all necessary licenses and permits and comply with the rules and regulations of the Department of Public Health and the Illinois Structural Pest Control Act. Copies of licenses and permits must be submitted to Owner along with Safety Data Sheets for each pesticide used. 5. All pesticides used must be approved by the US Environmental Protection Agency and formulated and applied to conform to Federal and State Laws and Regulations. Contractor will not engage in experimental pest control efforts. Only proven and appropriate methods will be employed. 6. Contractor will render services as described herein. If requested by Owner, Contractor will provide additional service at no additional charge within four hours of such notice. 7. Contractor will perform services on the facilities during normal business hours Monday through Friday; less holidays between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. 8. Contractor will perform services on the buses during evening business hours Monday through Friday; less holidays between 8:00 pm and 11:00 pm. 9. Contractor must initial a bus fleet check list after services are completed. It is to be turned into the 2nd shift supervisor prior to the technician's departure. Checklist will be provided by Owner. 10. Contractor will indicate on monthly billing arrival time and location of said work. Travel time and expenses are not reimbursable.
