Introduction The City of Ames is seeking proposals from qualified Contractors to provide and install interior security cameras at Ames City Hall – Community Center, 515 Clark Ave, Ames, Iowa. The Community Center currently has Axis security cameras in various locations. The intent of the project is to expand the current coverage areas including adding additional cameras and provide better surveillance for this space. Objective • Monitor Community Center activities and remove blind spots. • Ensure footage is clear and visible, with accurate and reliable facial recognition. • Ensure cameras and systems are maintained in good working order. Scope of Services The Selected Contractor will be required to: • Conduct a site visit prior to bid submittal to confirm wiring requirements, existing wiring placement, and proper locations of cameras. • Provide and install all cameras and associated equipment. • Obtain all necessary permits and licensing. • Submit total cost of the project including all necessary installation, material, labor, wiring, etc. • Propose the most suitable camera type and mount options for each location. • Provide coverage map of the proposed camera locations per Attachment A. • Provide maintenance and service plan for all installed equipment, including duration of coverage and warranty period for all installed equipment. Equipment Requirements • Minimum storage capacity of 30 days. • All equipment shall carry a minimum one-year warranty unless otherwise specified. • All cameras shall be integrated into the City of Ames Milestone system. • Installer shall be Milestone certified. • All cameras shall be Axis brand or approved equal. • Install conduit for the new camera in the gym with exposed ceilings.
