The Township of Berkeley Heights is requesting proposals for Tax Attorney Services. Tax Attorney Services will have a close working relationship with the Tax Assessor's Office. Tax Attorney services shall include, but not be limited to: on an as needed basis prepares, reviews and opinions on tax related projects; assists in reviews and updates of official statements associated with all tax matters; provide legal advice and assistance to the governing body and the Tax Assessor; provides advice on legal and financial matters to ensure Township's fiscal strengths; perform all other tasks as required by the Township Tax Assessor; and attend meetings when requested. Counsel may also be called upon to provide other types of legal services of a specialized nature.
